"Practicing silence aligns us with the universal mind, from which all great things in life emerge".

Elton Mesa.

Silence

Silence is the time of day we dedicate to ourselves, working on practices that improve our quality of life. Usually, this is a time spent alone, nourishing both spirit and soul. Through silence, I connected deeply with the essence of life—what we call Christ—and I witnessed my limitations being overcome. By embracing silence as a powerful tool, I gained unshakable confidence.

This is not a religious perspective, but rather a truth that permeates all of nature. I am convinced we must give value to this practice, because through it great revelations are made known to us, and our hearts are filled with the waves of spiritual fulfillment.

Silence helps us gain awareness and tranquility, promoting well-being that can be summed up as peace of mind, love, kindness, and serenity. In the mornings, silence strengthens our purpose and gives meaning to our existence. Choose a different path than most people, who start the day completely absorbed by the noise of life and never experience true peace. Silence teaches us the power of solitude, and in this solitude we learn to love our presence unconditionally.

“Those who discover the joy of solitude learn what it means to be at peace with themselves and find joy in their own company.”
— Unknown.

Instead of traveling to paradise islands, mountains, or chasing relationships in search of peace, the practice of silence fills your heart with calm. This simple act brings forth the solutions you’ve been looking for—and even more than solutions to problems, it teaches the true meaning of love.

It is always wise to seek inner peace before looking for it elsewhere—whether in relationships, wealth, or external achievements. True accomplishments grow from the inside out. As you are now, simply turn inward, and you will discover the root of all negativity in your life.

Prayer: The Powerful Practice of Silence

Prayer is a devotion directed to God, present in the rituals of most religions. It is an act in which human beings seek to connect with the Divine—through supplication, thanksgiving, praise, worship, and other purposes.

Prayer can be done individually or in groups, in public or in private. It may follow formal traditions or flow spontaneously from the heart.

The Impact of Prayer on Our Lives

Prayer purifies the heart, clears our thoughts, and helps us see goodness in everything around us. Our being becomes illuminated, and all we do receives blessing from above. Beyond providing lasting solutions to our problems, prayer allows us to appreciate the great gift of life, deepening our relationship with the Creator. Through it, we learn to love the Divine wholeheartedly. Christ becomes our counselor, our refuge, our bridge to spiritual fulfillment—because through Him, great blessings are received.

Prayer is the master key that opens the door to spiritual truth.

Benefits of Prayer

  • Emotional and spiritual discernment
  • Spiritual and mental strength
  • Deepened faith
  • Cleansing of mind and spirit
  • Strong refuge in times of trial
  • Purification of heart, thoughts, and actions
  • Spiritual protection

A Simple Way to Pray

One of the most profound ways to pray is to simply speak words that come from the heart. Be completely vulnerable before God—for He delights in a sincere heart. Christ listens to all who seek Him sincerely. Don’t worry about eloquence or perfect words. Just offer what weighs on your heart. Listen, feel, and notice the impact prayer has within you. When you surrender fully, you will find your heart flooded with peace.

Elements of a Powerful Prayer

  • Spiritual surrender
  • A sincere desire of the heart
  • Truth in your words
  • Humility
  • Vulnerability—God loves those who recognize their human limitations and fills their lives with supernatural strength, the “extra measure” that makes all the difference.

The Best Way to Pray: Aloud or in Silence?

There is no single “correct” way to pray. Each person is unique, and what works for one may not work for another. Pray in the way that brings you tranquility and transformation—whether silently, in a whisper, or out loud. What matters is to feel the presence of the Lord, allowing His Spirit to guide you and reveal solutions, not only to your challenges but also to fill you with gratitude and recognition of His greatness.

A Common Mistake in Prayer

A frequent mistake is treating prayer as memorized words—spoken mechanically, without meaning, like a song repeated over and over. Such words rarely bring true transformation.

Another mistake is thinking that repeating the same request constantly will make God respond. This kind of insistence reveals a lack of trust in Him. True persistence in prayer comes from faith, not repetition. God knows your needs and does not take pleasure in seeing you suffer. He seeks to save His children. Trust Him fully. Speak with sincerity and emotion, and Christ will delight in your openness, moving quickly to respond.

My Reflection

A person who values the spirit is destined to receive the best God offers—love, peace of mind, daily fulfillment, and support in times of joy and adversity. Such a person inherits the kingdom of Heaven. These may sound like bold words, but they reflect the nature of God Himself: love, joy, and growth. Value the spirit, and goodness will follow you. Providence will arise in your favor.

It is with love that I share these words, wishing that you will not delay your connection with the Source of Life.

There are many practices to embrace in silence: meditation, visualization, prayer, self-reflection, and more.
